About Monika
I have been machine knitting for over 30 years.  Thirteen years ago, when I began hand-knitting, I started to combine hand and machine knitting, as well as crocheting.  Exploring the plastic bed machines and the many novelty yarns on the market today has been very rewarding.  Machine knitting allows me to knit trendy garments and accessories in a very timely manner.  I am captivated by machine knitting, and thoroughly enjoy sharing my passion through classes at the Haliburton School of the Arts, Creative Festival in Toronto, Knitter’s Jamboree, through private lessons in my studio or in a student’s home, and through my own pattern designs, available on Ravelry and Patternfish.  Currently I also teach crocheting to adults for the Town of Richmond Hill.  I am especially proud at having been recently acknowledged in A Needle Pulling Thread as a “creative teacher extraordinaire”.  Other areas of interest include sewing, and embroidery (both hand and machine).
