About Lyn
I came late to the knitting world, having failed miserably to learn to knit
when I was 10. However, I made up for it, when my sister Deb taught me to knit at
our summer cabin when I was 30. It has somehow grabbed me by the throat and has
not let go since. My sister Deb and I started Cabin Fever about 16 years ago to
write “no-sew” knitting patterns and since 2004, “no-sew” knitting books. We
now have some 150 designs and 10 books, with the eleventh book in the works. The
more time I spent knitting and designing, the more yarns and colours interest
me. I began dyeing yarn about 6 years ago. In 2011 my good friend Buffy Taylor,
of Shelridge Farm, decided she wanted to retire and asked me if I'd like to take
over for her. I was thrilled. In 2012 Shelridge Farm became Shelridge
Yarns.
